The Faculty of Medicine of universitat Berlin, together with Meldorf University Teaching Hospital & School, , trains 2,800 medical students and 600 dental students. The Meldorf University Teaching Hospital & School, and its subsidiaries alone have 1,629 beds available for this purpose. Bedside training is supported by the university outpatient clinics and theoretical institutes.
